Let Me Go ~ October 4-5, 2019

We would like to join you

The Hold Me Tight® Let Me Go Workshop is designed to help you and your teen stop the cycle of conflict and change the conflict into secure bonding.  In this workshop, you will better understand secure family connections - the critical moves that define a relationship between teens and caregivers; better understand your own and your family members' emotional responses and needs; be able to describe and control negative interactions that create pain and distance; and be able to share the positive moment of reaching and responding that create secure bonds.

Parents/Caregivers will attend on Friday evening (5pm to 8:30pm) to begin to understand the attachment relationship between you and your teen.  Teens will join us on Saturday (9am to 5pm) and we will continue to explore the causes of conflict and how you and your teen can work together to decrease conflict and increase secure bonding.

Friday, 5pm to 8:30pm (for caregivers only)

Saturday, 9am to 5pm (caregivers and teens)

The Format:

The format for the Hold Me Tight® workshop is comprised of the following:

Presentation: each conversation begins with presentation of important ideas and concepts pertaining to each conversation. Presentations consist of lecture and engaging videos to help you understand the material.

Private Family Conversation: after the presentation, you, your partner and teen will have a private room to talk through each conversation. During private family conversations, helpers will periodically check in to assist in directing the conversation and to answer questions you have about the conversations.

Group Processing: after private family conversation, we will return to the large group to talk about what it was like to be able to have space to talk about each conversation. Group processing is pass or play; meaning you can share what it was like for you or you can listen. Sharing is not required. The benefit to the group processing time is that you will find that you are not alone. You will find that there are other families who share similar experiences as you.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations received up to 30 days prior to the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations received 29-21 days prior will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received 20 days or less prior are ineligible for refunds. You may transfer your registration to a future workshop within 12 months.
